Dear All
On July the 10th 2011 my wife Carole and her sister Lynne will be talking part in this years race for life at Western Park Leicester. This is to raise much needed funds for Cancer research.
Last year Carole raised over £110 through your generosity and this year she would like to beat that amount if possible, and this is Lynnes first year.
I personally don’t know of anyone that has not been affected by this vicious disease at some point in there lives either by suffering themselves or by knowing a friend or family member who has it. As of today I have 2 members of my family that are fighting it.
If these people are lucky then they get better, but some of them don’t. The only way we can increase the number of survivors is to support organisations like Cancer Research UK and give the funds to let them do their excellent work.
I am asking every one that I know to try and contribute something towards this very important cause, it doesn’t matter how much, every little makes a difference.
What would be really great is if all of you then forwarded this on to your friends and contacts to spread the word even further and see if we can raise a lot of money for the fight against Cancer
Here is the link to Caroles just giving page, don’t forget to register for gift aid and get the tax back from the government to increase the size of your donation.

Thank you all for your help in this matter and we will let you know how they get on.
best wishes
Dave and Carole Plummer
The weather was great and the ladies did really well. They both got around the course in 50 minutes and raised nearly £200 between them. It is a very emotional day and I found it very difficult to take pictures with tears in my eyes, having reading the reasons people were doing the race. You don’t realise how widespread the disease is, young and old are all affected.
Thank you very much for all of the donations, it will help the research cause tremendously.
Carole is booking her self on to next years event as we speak.
regards
Dave
