I thoroughly enjoyed today as it was a two gig day, and I’ve not had one of those for a while.

Started off at the Briars Residential home in Sandown, always a great atmosphere there and a lovely bunch of people to play for. We had some dancers and plenty of singing from both residents and staff.

I also managed to cover 2 out of the 3 requests from one lady, I have started work on learning the 3rd one for next time.

After lunch it was over to Solent Grange at Wootton Bridge for my regular session with Ali and Leah and the residents there.

A lot more dancing and a good old singalong session too, these guys do love a bit of Rock and Roll to finish the afternoon off.

Tomorrow, I am off to Blackwater Mill near Newport to entertain the Ladies and Gents there for the afternoon, so I will report back on that later.

If you would like a chat about what I can offer for your residents or social club, please feel free to get in touch for a chat.

Many thanks

Dave

Having started working on Christmas music with some of my students this week,I felt it was time for me to get warmed up for the festive season too.

So if you are having a Christmas event or would like me to play at a residential home, or anything that would benefit from live music, then please get in touch as the Seasonal tunes are in full swing.

I have played at two residential homes this week, Solent Grange and Inver House. I do hope that I maintain the level of energy that the residents of these homes have.

Spent most of the morning Rocking and Rolling to the tunes of Bill Hailey , Elvis and Buddy Holly followed by a full on sing along session and lots of banter.

Its great to see people enjoying themselves and watching a 99 year old lady teaching a carer how to Rock and Roll dance.

I am looking forward to next weeks homes and doing more of the same.

Thanks

Dave
