Well as you can see there has not been a lot of activity on my website for a long time.  There are genuine reasons for that, including, Moving house, Work, Renovating the new house, lots of gigs,  rebuilding my business, taking on new students and starting to do some work with Daniel Christian of SaxCasts.com.  So, pretty hectic, but now I’ve used those excuses, I won’t be able to use them again!!

Anyway,  I am planning on adding quite a bit more content on here, going forward.

I will be putting up some short posts in a minute, and would be happy for any feedback or questions you may have.

Thanks for sticking with me, and hope to speak to as many as I can soon.

Best wishes

Dave

So last weekend was busy with gigs in Leicester and London plus visiting my daughters in Kent.  However this weekend is even busier, but its all gigs.

Friday night is at the Falcon Hotel in Uppingham for a wedding drinks reception.  Saturday afternoon is also in Rutland for a 40th birthday party and Newtown Linford in the evening for a 70th birthday party.  Sunday is a Mellow D’s wedding gig in Daventry.

Plus, a new student booked into start lessons and another coming for a trial lesson next week.

Have a great weekend everyone

Hi Folks

Just wanted to let you know that I have uploaded a new video to Youtube.

I recorded it at Keythorpe Manor in Rutland, while I was playing for a wedding in July 2017, using my phone.

I have some other videos to add soon so keep an eye out for them.

Best wishes

Saturday afternoon was spent playing for a birthday party in a very nice bar in Leicester, Sloanes.  Background music was the order of the day, as most people wanted to chat and catch up.

The weather was a lovely sunny afternoon so we had the doors open, and people kept stopping as they walked past  to see where the music was coming from.

With tunes from the Rat Pack, Carpenters, Elvis, and Robbie Williams through to Moon River and The Girl From Ipanema, most people’s tastes were catered for, including a round of applause for ‘Teddy Bear’.

Carla certainly seemed to be enjoying herself, surrounded by friends and family members and as with all good parties there was loads of cake, including Cake on a Stick, which looked a bit like a lollipop, but was some of the nicest cake I have tasted in a long time, Yummy. Thanks Carla

Sloanes Bar is certainly somewhere that I would recommend for a visit if your ever in Leicester.

65th Birthday Gig

I have just got back from playing at a 65th birthday party. The gig came about from speaking to someone whilst busking.

This is the first time that I have been the entertainment for something like this, and it was good fun.

The family and guests where great, very appreciative and friendly. With nearly 4 hours of playing my lip is feeling slightly tender but will be back to normal tomorrow. There is a possibility of some other gigs arising from today, but now its time to start getting the Christmas busking tunes together ready to hit the streets.

The best bit about today was that it was a paid gig and it was really enjoyable.

regards

Dave
