Well as you can see there has not been a lot of activity on my website for a long time.  There are genuine reasons for that, including, Moving house, Work, Renovating the new house, lots of gigs,  rebuilding my business, taking on new students and starting to do some work with Daniel Christian of SaxCasts.com.  So, pretty hectic, but now I’ve used those excuses, I won’t be able to use them again!!

Anyway,  I am planning on adding quite a bit more content on here, going forward.

I will be putting up some short posts in a minute, and would be happy for any feedback or questions you may have.

Thanks for sticking with me, and hope to speak to as many as I can soon.

Best wishes

Dave

Sunday was a very good day at the 10th Wight Bridal Wedding Show in Newport IoW.

There was a change this time with the layout, as we had half of the small gym (where I exhibit) set up as a fully decorated marquee, showing what your wedding could look like if you hired one of these.

We had a live band too, so we took it in turns to play and it worked very well.  They also had a jazz guitarist doing some very nice laid back tunes.

I was booked for 2 events on the day, and had some good conversations with loads of happy couples.  A couple of the venues that where promoting the wedding services also spoke to me about other events they are looking for music for, Valentines night and corporate dinners.

It was also really nice to speak generally to the other suppliers and see how life is treating them.

From the feedback of other suppliers, I think a good day was had by one and all.

My next Wedding show is at the Ventnor Botanical Gardens on the 3rd of March 2019.20190127_084559

Plus, a new student booked into start lessons and another coming for a trial lesson next week.

Have a great weekend everyone

If you like a Rolls Royce then this is an event you shouldn’t have missed.

Yesterday at Burghley House, saw the biggest collection of Rolls Royce’s in one place. They came from all over the world and in all shapes and sizes.

In the evening, the owners clubs held a Dinner and Dance at the Peterborough Holiday Inn, with entertainment from the Uppingham Jazz and Soul Band.

we hit them with songs like, American Patrol and In the Mood, through to Mercy, Mercy, Mercy and Moondance.

They where a lively crowd and the dance floor was full for most of the night and we received some lovely feedback from the club members as we packed away.

An evening of fun was certainly had by both the Club members and the Band.

Yesterday was the first day this year that was warm enough to have part of a wedding outside.

This was Richard and Emily’s wedding reception at the Old Stable at Swithland in Leicestershire.  What a lovely place for a gathering of friends and family to wish the happy couple all the best for the future.

Thank you for asking me to be part of your special day Richard and Emily.

Best wishes

I am pleased to announce that my latest track Tum Hi Ho has hit cdbaby to purchase, and Spotify. It will also be available on iTunes shortly.

“Tum Hi Ho” (“You are the one”) is a song from the Indian movie Aashiqui 2, sung by Arijit Singh and composed by Mithoon.

I play Soprano and Tenor sax on this Bollywood hit.  It’s one of my favourites to play as it has a beautiful melody line that will around for a long time to come.

i hope that you enjoy it, let me know what you think.

best wishes and I hope that you enjoy it.

thanks
