The weekend starts with the Mellow D’s playing at the Samaritan Beer Festival tonight.  We kick off the live music at 8pm.

Not only live music, but loads of different beers to try, along with ciders, wines and pims.  Lovely local food too, sounds like a good night out, and in aid of a very worthwhile charity too.  Come and join us.

Saturday I am heading off to the Grosvenor House Hotel in London for a solo gig, providing the background music for a drinks reception.

After that I will be heading straight to sunny Kent to spend the rest of the weekend with my 2 daughters.  Really looking forward to that.

Hope you have a great weekend too.

Saturday the 19th July was a busy day with 2 gigs, the Soroptomist international garden fete in the afternoon and the Leicester and Rutland Samaritan beer festival in the evening.

This was my 2nd year of playing here. If you haven’t been before and like to try different real ales, ciders and wines it is certainly one to put in your diary for next year. Its not your normal rowdy beer festival, in fact it is very refined and good fun with live music everyday of the 3 day event.

I played for a couple of hours and the good thing about this gig is that nobody is afraid to get up and dance. So for most of the evening the dance floor was busy which makes my job even more enjoyable.

Thanks to Lance and his team for making me feel very welcome, and if I had not been driving I may well have worked my way through all of the beer vouchers that you gave me instead of just one.

regards and hopefully see you again next year.
