I spent the afternoon of Sunday the 20th September providing some of the entertainment at the Hinckley Classic Car Show, Leicestershire.

This event is organised by the Hinckley BID (Business improvement District) along with the Council and the Town Centre Partnership, with the aim of promoting Hinckley Town Centre.

There were 500 classic cars, Motorbikes and Scooters taking over the whole of the town centre with competitions andd displays for everyone to enjoy. They had a commentator walking around town talking to the owners and finding out about their vehicles and this was relayed over the tannoy system so that everyone could hear.

They had a jazz band playing first and they sounded very good. Nice and laid back  music.  I followed and played for a couple of hours in the afternoon sunshine.

I had various people come up for a chat and four enquiries about future events, including one from the Humber Car Owners Club for their open day next year.

I even had 2 couples jiving away enthusiastically to Johnny be Good, which is always nice to see.

I wanted to say thank you to Mr Jonathon White of the Hinckley BID for inviting me to enjoy the day with them.

Its certainly a good day out and nice to see people that are proud of their town.
