Easter Sunday saw me loading the car for a drive out to Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire. This was not a social trip but I had been asked to play at the wedding of Becky and Daniel.

The Weddings at Dodford Manor are held in a beautifully restored brick barn with all mod cons, also but with lots of  character.

The weather stayed fine for the couple and after the service I played for the guests entertainment whilst they had a drink and a catchup before the reception.

I would like to say thanks to the Grooms mum for the action shot photo, the rest I took with my phone.  I certainly enjoyed my self and with some of the guests having a bit of a dance and with loads of lovely comments, I believe the family and guests did too.

If you are looking for a wedding venue in the Northamptonshire area,

then Dodford Manor is Certainly worth visiting.

April appears to be the start of the wedding season, with 2 booked. Sunday the 5ths Wedding  is taking place at Dodford Manor in Northamptonshire . This looks a lovely place to get married, they even offer tractor rides for the bride and groom. I wonder if I could sneak a ride on the back whilst playing, now that would be a good picture for the website.

The second one is for the 25th of April and this one is at Barchill Retreat at Welford in Leicestershire. This is a farm that specialises in Humanist weddings and hopefully this will be in a marquee in the middle of the farm. Yet again another venue with stunning views.

i have also been asked to play at another 2 weddings in April but as the dates clash with those above, I have had to decline.

We are also running our next StaxofSax saxophone workshop in Leicester on the 10th of April, full details are on our StaxofSax facebook page if you are Interested in joining us.

Plus I am working on a batch of new songs to add to the repertoire for the forth coming events.

So life is good and long may it continue.
