Gift Screen grab 3

Occasionally I get asked about lessons as a present for someone’s Birthday or Christmas, so we have been providing gift vouchers for those requests over the last 10 years.

I just wanted to share with you, the new updated voucher that we have produced.  Pretty smart, even though I say so myself.

Vouchers can be bought for a certain amount of lessons and the card tells the recipient how many that is, not the amount of money that you have spent.

Different designs can be printed.

Lessons can be 30 or 60 minutes long.  The Student then contacts me to arrange a suitable time for those lessons.

Lessons can be Face to Face or via Skype or Facetime, whichever suits the student.

The cards have space for you to personalise them, and are posted to you for giving.

If you have someone who has expressed an interest in learning, then this is a great way to surprise them.

My number is 07736 471 861 or dave.saxteach@yahoo.co.uk

I look forward to hearing from you

What do you do if your school that you normally teach at on a Friday, emails you and say it’s a ‘snow day’?

Well, after 5 seconds of thinking, you decide to bring your weekend plans forward.

After a fairly sedate drive to Southampton, we boarded the ferry for East Cowes 9 hours earlier than planned. Yehaa.

we are now sitting in our hotel lounge overlooking Sandown beach and enjoying a cuppa.

Tomorrow I am entertaining the residents of Victoria House in Ryde, and Sunday, I am exhibiting at the Ventnor Botanical gardens Wedding Fayre.

so an extra few hours enjoying our home from home is greatly appreciated.

I have just taken a booking for another gig in June.  Its an 86 Birthday/garden party being held locally.  A nice summers evening playing some relaxing music with a glass of Pims.  Life doesn’t get much better than that.

Plus I have been asked to play for a business dinner at the Belfry Hotel and Golf Course near Sutton Coldfield this month.  I am looking forward to that, it should be a good evening.

Saturday afternoon was spent playing for a birthday party in a very nice bar in Leicester, Sloanes.  Background music was the order of the day, as most people wanted to chat and catch up.

The weather was a lovely sunny afternoon so we had the doors open, and people kept stopping as they walked past  to see where the music was coming from.

With tunes from the Rat Pack, Carpenters, Elvis, and Robbie Williams through to Moon River and The Girl From Ipanema, most people’s tastes were catered for, including a round of applause for ‘Teddy Bear’.

Carla certainly seemed to be enjoying herself, surrounded by friends and family members and as with all good parties there was loads of cake, including Cake on a Stick, which looked a bit like a lollipop, but was some of the nicest cake I have tasted in a long time, Yummy. Thanks Carla

Sloanes Bar is certainly somewhere that I would recommend for a visit if your ever in Leicester.
