The next workshop is booked for the 19th October at the Salvation Army hall in South Wigston.
We will be working on small and large ensemble pieces and we have local Jazz man Nick Hislam leading the improvisation session. Nick has played with Gilad Atzmon, Peter King and many of the top players visiting the UK.
The day is open to any sax player aged 11 and above, with a minimum of 12 months playing experience. We arrange the pieces to suit the level of playing ability, so nobody needs to feel that the music will be too difficult. We send out the parts and sound files 2 weeks in advance giving you chance to practice before the day.
The venue has superb acoustics and a large free car park and an on site cafe that has a great choice of excellent food at very reasonable prices.
The cost of the day is £30 per person of which 10% goes to music charities for children.
If you would like to join us for the day or have any questions feel free to contact me either here or at staxofsax@gmail.com
We are looking forward to seeing some of you soon
Dave
